The title comes from Jesus' prediction that "Jerusalem will be trodden underfoot until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled" (Luke 21:24). The Romans destroyed Jerusalem in A.D. 70 on the 9th day of the 11th month (written 9.11 in the Hebrew calendar). This coincidence of dates links the trauma of that event for Jews with America's devastation of 9.11.2001.

What do these events mean? How have we gotten here and where are we going? Media sight and sound bites show us Middle East events ("what") but the best commentary on "why" comes from our "reliable source," the Bible.
